About the project
North & Compass came to us with forty hours of footage from a six-week crossing and no clear film inside it.
The brief: find the story the crew actually lived, not the one they planned to tell.
What we did: logged every hour, built the structure around three turning points, and cut a 22-minute film with an original score and a light grade that keeps the cold in the image.
Where it went: a festival cut, a 3-minute trailer, and short chapters for the brand's journal.
What we learned: the strongest moments were the quiet ones between the plans. We cut the expedition milestones short and let the crew's conversations carry the film from one turning point to the next.
